Taste the rainbow

Almost every Sunday, my friends and I gather for what we like to call, Vodka Sundays (to be fair, it doesn’t really mean we get together to drink vodkas. Usually, we watch random downloaded movies or tv shows and just catch up with each other, a great way to wind down the week. For some reason, Vodka Sunday was just the name that stuck). So last weekend we decided  that we should try to make some of that skittle vodkas I’ve heard so much about.

We split a bottle of vodka in two halves, and put the red and orange skittles in one half, and the green and yellow skittles in the other half (in total, we used 4 bags of skittles). Unfortunately, we ended up leaving the skittles in the vodka for a week instead of the recommended 1-2 days. The result? The sugary stuff turned reeeeeeeeal nasty.

It looked much better after running it through a coffee filter

Drinking it straight … ? well I think this conversation pretty much sums it up:

“So, what will go well with this?”
“Diabetes”

Other notes:

  • goes pretty well with tonic water
  • green+yellow > red+orange
  • actually the red+orange kinda tastes like medicine if you drink it straight
  • looks pretty, it’d look even nicer if we had all 5 colours

Oh man. Speaking of rainbows…

  • toe-sun

sounds like vomit in a glass tbh, but then again I'm more a beer/whiskey kinda person…

its not that bad. Although I'd also probably prefer a nice glass of whiskey over this.
